Frequently asked questions
APDS Training & Behaviour Centre is located at Hope Under Dinmore, near Wynnes, behind Queenswood, in between Hereford and Leominster on the A49.
We have a variety of services including puppy training, dog training, sports, fun classes, essential life skills, behavioural training & support, agility, hoopers, scent detection, breed specific courses. Check out the menu at the top of the webpage to see our full range of services.
Here's everything you need to bring with you to class:
Water bowl and water
2 meter normal lead and your dog on a flat collar or a harness (no flexi/slip leads, as these are not suitable to use in training classes)
Lots of small, soft, high-value treats like Anco pate or natural Bronco (available at Leominster Pet Centre), diced chicken. Markies, Gravy Bones and similar are not so suitable, as they are too big and cannot be broken into small enough pieces. Avoid brands like Pedigree, Wagg and Bakers if you are buying pre-packed treats.
Treat pouch (preferable over Tupperware/plastic bags)
A mat for your dogs to lie on (a blanket or a towel work well).
Poo bags!
Older children can attend our classes by request in advance of the classes. However, they must be supervised by a responsible adult who must agree to prevent them from disturbing the process of learning during the class.
