Accessibility statement
APDS Training Centre and Training Field are located off the A49 between Leominster and Hereford, on top of Dinmore Hill. The road off the A49 is steep and narrow, so care should be taken when driving. The roads are regularly gritted in winter, so they normally stay accessible all year round.

From the A49, take the turning for Hope Under Dinmore village, going under a railway bridge and then left up the hill. You will then turn right at the top of the hill, over a speed bump, past a white cottage. You will then find the training field on your left hand side after the white cottage.
Access to the Training field
There is a 4m wide metal farm gate with a sign directly outside the front leading into a level, gravelled car park area for around eight cars. The car park will be opened for you no more than 10 minutes before your session starts. You will then access the training field by walking through a 2m metal farm gate onto the grass field, there is a slight incline up the fields to the area where we normally train. We set out training pods using windbreakers to divide the area at the top of the field and there is also a shed that contains a toilet and equipment. The toilet is accessed via a lip and it is a very narrow camping toilet it would not be suitable to access with a wheelchair.
Those coming from the Hereford side up through Westhope, you’ll hit the top of the hill after you’ve gone through the Farm. You will then come out very near the actual training van to get to the training field. You will then need to go straight on over the speed humps, and you will find a training field on your right hand side past a barn with a car parking area. The training field is your next right in through the metal gate.
Access to the Training Barn
You need to go past the training field over the speed humps. Head to Wynnes, you will then see a road going off to your left, you need to take a sharp turn to the right. You will also see Veronica Perrett photograph studio and a sign to carry on the lane down to the training centre. Drive past heading to Wynnes, you will see a car park on your right sign posted parking Wynnes please park carefully here. The training centre is behind you in between the buildings Unit 3B, it is flat wide access through a 8m metal double gate. The training centre is to the left you will see a sign above our doors.
Those coming from the Hereford side as you hit the top of the hill, west Hope side cause you will need to turn immediate left as if you were turning towards Wynnes , and follow lane down and park at Wynnes.
The Training Barn
The training barn is in between two buildings ( a hut with a ramp and a glass fronted building) There is a sign to direct you. Through a double farm gate and it is the barn on the left Unit 3B. The car parking is opposite and is about 25m walk on a gravel section, then across the private lane, and then in between the buildings on a concrete path. The access to the barn is a normal door with a small lip there are roller shutter doors for access if needed. The first section is painted concrete and some non slip matting. THe section section is heavy duty rubber jigsaw matting over the top of concrete. There are training bays with dividers in the barn for each of the dogs. There is access to a toilet that is up steps or access around and through two gates and up a small gravel slope the toilet has a step up to get into . It has a All positive Dog services on the front. The key is obtainable for the toilet from the staff inside the training barn this is also not accessible by a wheelchair. The training barn is not insulated but it is waterproof it has a roof on but in the winter it does get cold. We would advise that you wear coats and hats and gloves if the outside temperature requires it. Also using coats for your dog when the outside temperature also requires it.
