Puppy Training

Give your puppy the best start in life through learning how dogs interpret their surroundings, how to effectively communicate with them and how to avoid common behaviour problems

Begin training to teach your puppy essential life skills and gain helpful tips on toilet training, puppy biting & chewing and sleeping

Let's help your pup learn the skills needed to grow into an adult dog that can approach life happily and confidently

What's included in puppy training?

  1. An initial theory session (for just owners, without puppies) is followed by 7 practical sessions (with puppies attending) at our dedicated Training & Behaviour Centre, 2 trainers in many of the sessions to enable more individual support

  2. Teach your puppy essential training cues such as settle, attention, sit, down, loose lead walking and recall

  3. Learn how to prevent common behavioural issues and prepare your puppy for potentially stressful situations (such as going to the groomers)

  4. Receive a puppy pack, puppy manual, instructional videos and ongoing support

  5. Free membership to our exclusive Facebook community group for ongoing advice and support

What else do I need to know?

  • Cost is £149.99 per puppy for X8 sessions, spread over 8 weeks, lasting 60 minutes each

  • Aimed at puppies aged between 10 - 20 weeks old at the time of the second session (as the first session is a theory session for just owners, without puppies). If your dog will be aged 5 months or older by the second session, they are too old for puppy training, but instead qualify for the Dog Training for Beginners course).

  • There will be 2 qualified trainers in the class with a maximum of 8 puppies per session to allow for plenty of time with both trainers

  • If there are two owners and you would both like to attend with your puppy, you are very welcome, so you can both take in the learning and bounce off one another between sessions

  • Each dog can be accompanied by up to two children and two adults (maximum group of 4). To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, children must be supervised at all times, remain in their designated booth and always respect the space of other attendees and their puppies. Where appropriate, children will have the opportunity to participate in the training. We encourage a second adult to join, so everyone can engage in the learning and support each other between sessions. Please note that children under 5 may find it difficult to stay engaged (we understand, as parents ourselves!), so we recommend they do not attend the training sessions. That being said, please do get in touch if you have different family requirements so we can discuss and find something that works for you!

  • Puppies can be enrolled in both Puppy Training and Puppy socialising at the same time

  • Your puppy needs to have been with you for at least 2 weeks (to ensure they have begun to settle into their new environment) and must have received their first vaccination

  • Check out our T&Cs here for our cancellation policy

  • If you can't find dates you can attend, please get in touch with us so we can find a way to help you
